The morning of Saturday, June 5, Matt and a group of supporters will take their first steps of this nonstop, 100-mile run, in Machias. 24-36 hours later, the event will wrap up on the Brewer riverwalk on June 6, in celebration of National Cancer Survivors Day.

-Cancer is the leading cause of death in Maine, with rates significantly higher in the eastern counties.
-COVID-19 has reduced the number of cancer screenings in 2020, likely leading to a higher cancer incidence and mortality in the years ahead.
-Rural Mainers facing a cancer diagnosis have to travel 4-6 times farther to receive treatment than their urban neighbors.
-The Christine B. Foundation is here to help with no-cost supportive services across these 11,500 square miles.
